China’s Tencent leases 100,000 chips from Oracle to accelerate AI push

Oracle’s timing could hardly be more interesting.

The reported economics are the real eyebrow-raiser. At roughly $1.60 per GPU-hour, Tencent appears to be locking in advanced compute at a remarkably aggressive price.
