The United States and China are preparing to hold their first dedicated bilateral dialogue on artificial intelligence safety since President Donald Trump\'s second term began, targeting mid-September for the talks ahead of the September 24 Trump-Xi summit in Washington. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is expected to lead the U.S. delegation, with Vice Premier He Lifeng or Politburo Standing Committee member Ding Xuexiang heading the Chinese side.
